Always test an offcut or sample prior to working the leather with tools, adhesives or heat. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. Repeated turning or working may affect the digital print, always test your processes on a sample first. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.
The Talbot bag is made of premium Nappa leather in your choice of a smooth or bubble texture. All of the accented bits, such as the base, top trim, closure tabs, and handle, are made of smooth black Nappa no matter which texture you select for the body of your bag. To create your custom soft leather slouch bag, the first thing our print technicians do is print each piece of leather with your design. They use a professional method that prints the eco-friendly inks onto the Nappa in a way that's hard-wearing, so the print becomes as durable as the leather itself. Next, the bag is stitched into shape with the black leather accents and hardware. The strap is hooked on and the lining is sewn inside along with the pockets. Once the bag is complete, our quality control team looks over it to make sure it looks how you want it to. Then your slouch bag is ready to be sent off to you.
You can design your custom slouchy leather shoulder bag in any way that makes you happy. There will be four panels to add your photo or pattern to, two of which are the areas on the sides of the bag. This can be a slightly trickier spot to design because the bag folds in toward the top, meaning some of the design will be obscured. If you want to use photos, we recommend keeping the subject toward the bottom where the bag doesn't fold as much. Otherwise, patterns or designs without a focal point will work great here. The front and back of the bag have the largest surface area, so use this space however you see fit for your personalized slouchy leather shoulder bag.
